@@BartDietvorst how many weight has the guitar? Is comfortable? The body is big? More than a telecaster or strato? I m worried about the bridge, the resonance and tone comes from bridge and nut never from pick ups. It came you in good string calibration?

@@Folkgrunge I don't have this guitar anymore so don't know about weight. The body is slightly bigger than a telecaster I'd say but the guitar in total is about the same length. My experience is that Harley Benton guitars always need a good setup and decent strings when you buy them.

Thanks. MiM Fenders can be really good (I have 4 of them and love these). This one is from 2013 and Custom Shop designed which makes it substantially better. The last few years I've played more than a few that have quality check issues. like the Vintera strat from my previous video (bad fretwork, badly cut nut). The Player Plus telecasters are awesome though. But a good one is definitely not any less than a USA made one in my opinion.

@@BartDietvorst Cool. Thanks for the reply. It's the Player plus tele I'm probably going to pull the trigger on - Apart from the heal joint, which is neither here nor there for me, the difference between that and the American Ultra doesn't justify the price difference in my book. With the rolled edges, they obviously have more attention payed to the neck, so one would hope, the frets too, which is the most important thing for me.

I have 2 player plus teles and I love them. I actually had the USA Ultra tele and hated it (returned it).

Thanks! I use a Kemper profiling amp with on board fx. All Fender amp profiles, some with on board overdrive pedals, verb/delay.

This is a regular classical / Spanish guitar, not a special model for Flamenco.

Haven't tried the combination myself but I always love the vintage mini humbuckers by Seymour Duncan.

@@BartDietvorst Yeah I don’t know what to try. I just know I don’t like the harsh, trebly standard bridge pickup on my tele and most teles I’ve tried.

@@BkBk-gy6vr maybe try one of those DiMarzio blade humbuckers that fit on a normal telecasster

@@BartDietvorst Yea every time you split or went to a different PU I cringed, and then you switched off it (lol). Must be the factory PU's in the mid and neck. I ran across this a couple of weeks ago when researching the Twang Banger. I have a Rio Grande TallBoy, but I was thinking of also putting a hot rail in the guitar (mid or neck) to get more a layered twang. Cheers, I forgot to get the users name. It was from a guitar forum. I just bought one off Reverb. I think I'm going to try in my Swamp Ash strat first. I also read on a forum that a couple of player's said they really like the Dimarzio Red Velvet (the one with the plate) in the neck and a blue velvet in the middle, with the twanger. "The very best sounding Strat I've played was a mongrel, parts bin special with an Alder Warmoth body, Allparts SRO-FAT neck, master volume, master tone, Fralin blender pot." Awesome! The twisted tele pickups are more sparkly in my experience.

Just a regular tele with a mini humbucker in the neck position.

This was all stock.

Yes, I got it a day before I recorded this video. It's light and plays/sounds great, vintage style tone.
